Currently serving as Deputy Mayor and Councillor for the City of North Bay, Maggie is actively involved in shaping the community's future. She serves on several boards and committees, including as 1st Vice-President, Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities (FONOM), the North Bay Police Service Board, the District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board, and Heritage North Bay. She also chairs the Lindsay Weld Centre for Children Board of Directors, a role she has held since 2021, and was recently appointed Chair of the City's Municipal Heritage Committee.
Known for her calm, problem-solving approach, Maggie brings people together to tackle challenges, foster collaboration, and create positive outcomes. She believes the best decisions come from listening, asking thoughtful questions, and ensuring that respect is at the heart of every interaction. Her dedication to volunteerism reflects her belief that strong communities are built when residents come together to share their time, talent, and energy.
Deeply committed to North Bay and its future, Maggie is focused on building a city where families can thrive, businesses can grow, and everyone can see a future for themselves right here at home. She believes North Bay's greatest strength is its people and that strong leadership means bringing residents, businesses, community organizations, and government together to solve challenges and seize opportunities.
